Rev. Dr. Kenneth R. Kelley, Sr. was born February 1, 1964, in Chicago,Illinois. He has been married to Rosalyn R. Kelley for over 39 years. In addition, they have three children together. Currently, he is a hospice chaplain for Aseracare Hospice of Indiana. He has served in the pastoral ministry for over thirty-four years. He is the Pastor of the Metropolitan Baptist Church of Gary Indiana since March 2012. Dr. Kenneth R. Kelley, Sr., serves on the Gary Police Department as a Police Chaplain, and has served as a Chaplain for over twenty years. He is the President and founder of Agape InternationalMinistries, a non-for-profit organization.
Also, Pastor Kelley is the Author of many published works including the Journal of Palliative Medicine, The Christian Education Informer, The National Hospice Foundation, The Institute for Palliative Medicine at the San Diego Hospice, and his books entitled, “Do you hear what I am Saying,” Poetry from the Pandemic,” “The Missing Ingredients.,” and additional writings on various topics.
Dr. Kelley has an Associate of Arts in Theology degree from Chicago Baptist Institute, Bachelor of Arts in Interpersonal and Group Communications from Trinity International University in Deerfield, Illinois, Master of Arts in Intercultural Studies from Trinity Evangelical Divinity School, and a Doctor of Ministry in Pastoral Studies from Grace Theological Seminary in Winona Lake, Indiana. Dr. Kelley has a Masters in Biblical Studies and a Doctor of Ministry degree from Andersonville Theological Seminary in Camilla , Georgia.
Dr. Kenneth R. Kelley, Sr. Is the President/Director of the Metro Community Outreach to provide Assistance and Access to the underserved through pro bono legal services, free emergency food pantry and the health and wellness initiative. Moreover, Dr. Kelley is the owner of The Kelley Consulting Group, LLC.
